Over the last week, I've received more than a dozen spam e-mails from a person calling himself John Palsson from a company called Top Blog Area. He says he's starting some sort of blog search engine. Just a note to my fellow bloggers out there, when you respond to spam like this, you encourage it. If this guy is legitimate, he needs to understand that sending a dozen unsolicited commercial e-mails is NOT the way to make friends and influence people.

If you want to promote your blog using e-mail, don't send spam. You should never send e-mail to someone without their express permission. Anything else is not only a bad business practice, it might get your site black listed.
