Identify Yourself - BloggingTricks.com

One of the most obvious things new bloggers overlook is making contact information available on their blog. Suppose you have a brilliant thread going on your blog and a major newspaper sees it and wants your comment on the relevant issue for a story? But you forgot to put your e-mail, phone number and address in a prominent place on the blog so they went with a different source.
Authenticity is another reason you need to identify yourself on your blog. Who you are matters to your readers. If you're an experienced photographer and you share a piece on getting good results with long lenses, that carries more weight than someone who isn't an experienced photographer saying the same thing. And if you're an employee of a company touting its products because you really like them, be sure to disclose your relationship. Don't try to hide your title or position. If you do and the audience finds out (and they will) you've lost all credibility.
Unless you have a really good reason to remain anonymous, put your contact information on your blog. The more detail the better and make it easy to find.
